Recovering your data after reinstalling

If automatic backups were on, a copy of your database is in your iCloud Drive and survives uninstalling. On first launch, Nemoris detects that backup and offers to restore it before anything else — do not create an empty database before checking.

The iCloud container can take a few seconds to appear after installation. If no backup is offered straight away, wait a moment and relaunch the app.

A statement that will not import

Nemoris accepts CSV files from most French banks and detects the separator, encoding and date format automatically. If the columns are misread, the mapping screen lets you point out the date, amount and label by hand. That setting is remembered: later imports of the same format are automatic.

Files without an extension are accepted. If the import still fails, send us an anonymised extract of a few lines.

A merchant identified incorrectly

The identification engine learns from your corrections. Open the payee record and fix the name, the category or the link: similar transactions afterwards will follow suit. You can also run an assisted search from the import screen to track down an unknown business.

Sync is not coming through

Check that the same iCloud account is active on both devices and that sync is enabled in Nemoris settings on each. The first download can take several minutes on a large database. If the pending counter stays stuck, turning sync off and back on restarts a full cycle, with no risk of duplicates or data loss.

Exporting or deleting your data

Exporting the full database is in the settings. The resulting file is a standard SQLite database you can open with any compatible tool. To delete everything, uninstall the app; remember to remove the backups from your iCloud Drive too if you want nothing left.
